Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile JR

A Pilot Production

Open Registration for Ages 8-18 (as of August 23)

The Pilot Experience

By registering for this Kids On Stage Academy Pilot Production, your cast member will participate in an exciting and fast-paced musical theatre experience while helping launch a brand-new educational and performance opportunity at Kids On Stage. Cast members will receive focused training in singing, dancing, and acting as they work toward a culminating production of Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile JR.

Cast members will be among the first students in the country to work on this brand-new adaptation of Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile JR., gaining early access to material that has not yet been widely produced. As part of this special process, Kids On Stage is partnering directly with Music Theatre International and iTheatrics, the organizations leading the development of the show for young performers. Student feedback and experiences may help inform the future of the title as it moves toward broader release.

Because of the pilot nature of this production, cast members should be prepared for a collaborative and flexible rehearsal process. They will experience firsthand how a musical is refined before becoming available to theatre organizations across the country. At the conclusion of the program, cast members will showcase their growth and learning in a fully produced theatrical performance complete with costumes, scenery, props, lighting, sound, and theatrical effects, bringing the world of Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile JR. to life for family, friends, and the community. This is a rare opportunity to develop advanced performance skills while helping introduce an exciting new musical to the next generation of young performers.
