The Experience
By registering for this Summer Camp Production, your cast member will participate in a fast-paced and fun education in musical theatre: singing, dancing, and acting while working toward a culminating production of Disney's Moana JR.

Through pre-camp rehearsals and a week long day camp, cast members will receive training in acting, singing, and dance technique. They will learn theatrical terminology and etiquette, and they will build confidence and explore their creative side in a brave, encouraging, and challenging environment. At this level, we are focusing on character physicality, proper vocal technique, and increasing precision and performance in dance.
At the end of our rehearsal time together, cast members will showcase their learning in a fully produced production with costumes, sets, props, lights, and special effects!

About Disney's Moana JR
Disney’s Moana JR. is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the 2016 Disney animated film, bringing the adventures of Moana and her village of Motunui to life onstage. Moana JR. features all the beloved songs from the film, written by Tony®, GRAMMY, Emmy, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina, including “How Far I’ll Go,” “Shiny,” and “You’re Welcome.”

This thrilling and heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. Moana and the legendary demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as both learn to harness the power that lies within. With empowering messages of bravery and selflessness, Moana JR. is sure to bring out the hero within each of us.

Auditions
No experience is needed to participate in this Summer Camp Production. While everyone receives a role, auditions are still held to place each cast member in the perfect role for them.
Auditions for Disney's Moana JR will take place on Saturday, May 9th from 12:00-5:30 PM at the Greene County Wellness Center.

After registering for the production, an email will be sent to the parent/guardian with instructions for accessing the scenes & songs needed for auditions. They will be asked to sing, dance, and act using materials provided ahead of the audition. Audition materials will be provided no later than April 1st. Details about an audition prep class will be shared with those who are registered to audition.
At home practice for these auditions will be super important because we want cast members to be confident with the material and also perform their very best. However, remember that everyone will get a role in the end.
