About the Program
The KOS Ambassador program's mission is to empower teens with the knowledge, skills, and aspirations necessary to be effective advocates for the arts and become the future leaders of Kids On Stage. Ambassadors will receive the training needed to succeed in roles such as Associate Director, Music Director, Choreographer, & Stage Manager with our JR Production this fall. The program is open to youth ages 11-18 in good standing with Kids On Stage.
The Ambassador program is designed to be a three-part cycle where students gradually take over the role during production. Ambassadors must complete the entire part before moving on to the next one. More info about what to expect is below.
Track 1: Associate Dream Team Member
Key foundational trainings are presented individually, and learning is supported by supervised production involvement.
Track 2: Emerging Artist
The Ambassadors now serve in their role with the support and guidance of the Artistic Director.
Track 3: Experienced Artist
The Ambassadors serve in their role at full capacity with check ins from the Artistic Director.
We are currently accepting Track 1 & Track 2 applications for our Fall Production of Shrek: The Musical JR.
Commitment
The Ambassadors will be required to participate in one-on-one training sessions, group meetings, and rehearsals to prepare for leading the production in November.
If you have any specific questions about commitment, please email parker@gckidsonstage.org.
